A new Cambodian play

This was the first play I made in 2006 with director and writer Annemarie Prins in Phnom Penh, based on the genocide in Cambodia.
The text by Annemarie Prins is based on the actors stories.
This production was produced by Amrita Performing Arts.
I designed the set and costumes.
We worked with clay from the Mekong River, a water basin and life projections of the actors and pictures from the Pol Pot period on the bamboo backdrop. The titles of the play reverse to the period that the Khmer Rouge ruled over Cambodia with the loss of millions of people.

It was performed by Kauv Sotheary, Morm Sokly, Chhon Sina, singer Nam Narem and musician: Leng Sakona.
The first performance took place at the Sovanna Puhm Theatre, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on February 18th 2006.
